At approximately 8:06 am, deputies were dispatched to the area of John Redmond Reservoir in regards to a welfare check.  

Upon deputies arrival, a search was conducted and deputies discovered an individual suffering from an apparent self-inflicted gun shot wound.  

The individual succumbed to his injuries.
