Brandi Newman has joined Trey Bland as a Coffey County School Resource Officer!

Brandi graduated the academy in 2013.  Afterwards, she spent several years working as a Child Protection Specialist for Kansas Department of Children and Families, and is certified in Child Forensic Interview.  Brandi joined the Coffey County Sheriff's Office a little over a year ago and has most recently worked court security in the Coffey County Courthouse.  

Although not originally from Coffey County, she has been a resident for about 14 years and has two daughters that attend Burlington Middle School and High Schools.  

Brandi is excited to make this transition into the SRO position because she wants to be a positive influence in the lives of the children in our community.  She has spent most of her career working with children and can't wait to help the kids in our local schools succeed!
