Press Release 1/1/2024 - Continued Investigation of Waverly Lumber

The Coffey County Sheriff's Office, working with the Franklin County Sheriff's Office and Osage County Sheriff's Office, were able to identify possible suspects involved in the Waverly Lumber burglary.
More than an estimated 90% of the property taken has been recovered, including vehicles and trailers, power equipment, tools, and accessories.
The Coffey County Sheriff's Office deputies and investigators continue to develop leads in this investigation with the intention of apprehending and holding responsible all involved. Names of suspects will not be released until the conclusion of the investigation, as officers seek more information to provide the best prosecution possible.
