The Coffey County Sheriff's Office assisted in a multi-county chase. Agencies that were involved were Woodson County Sheriff's Office, Kansas Highway Patrol, Anderson County Sheriff's Office, Garnett Police Department, and the Burlington Police Department. The reason for the chase was the vehicle was stolen out of another county, driving at high rates of speed and erratically. The chase started in Woodson County, and continued into the Southern part of Coffey County. The agencies that were involved we able to locate the vehicle and suspect were located southwest of Gridley. The suspect that was driving the vehicle was the only one in the vehicle and there were no injuries involved. One subject was taken into custody.
