Citizens of Coffey County

Please be advised, we have received notice of a possible phone scam if you receive a call from a Sargent Brian Mitchell with the Coffey County Sheriff's Office it is a Scam. We do not have anyone by that name working for the Coffey County Sheriff's office. Subject is stating that you have missed a Grand Jury Trial and that you need meet him at the Sheriff's office and to bring $3000 cash and to come alone due to covid restrictions. Again, this is a SCAM.
