The Coffey County Sheriff's Office received a report on the morning of July 3, 2023 about a cow that had been killed in the pasture. Information gathered from the owner is that it was a 3rd stage pregnant black limousin cow that was killed in the field and had chunks of meat taken from it. It's believed to have happened between the evening of July 2nd and early morning of July 3rd.
